Position Overview:
As a Civil Litigation Attorney, you will handle a variety of complex litigation matters, representing clients in state and federal courts. This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney with a passion for litigation and a desire to thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside a talented team of professionals.
Responsibilities:
Represent clients in civil litigation cases, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, trial preparation, and court appearances.
Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, answers, motions, and settlement agreements.
Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely and effective case resolution.
Conduct legal research and stay updated on developments in civil law.
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and experts to develop case strategies.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex legal matters.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys and support staff.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the California State Bar.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on complex matters.
Proven experience in drafting legal documents and arguing motions in court.
Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to case management.
