Controls Engineer

Location: Springfield, MO

Salary: $80-120k DOE

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team in the food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining control systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. This role requires expertise in PLC and HMI programming, as well as knowledge of high and low voltage systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement control systems for food manufacturing processes.
Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems, with a focus on Allen Bradley and Siemens products.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize system performance.
Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades of control systems to improve efficiency.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations regarding electrical systems and safety.
Provide technical support and training to production staff on control system operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Controls Engineer, preferably in the food manufacturing sector.
Strong knowledge of PLC and HMI programming, particularly with Allen Bradley and Siemens.
Drafting knowledge with either CAD or AutoCAD.
Experience with motor starters and high/low voltage systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
