Job Opportunity: Legal Secretary/Assistant

Location: Dover, NH

Compensation: $25 - $30 per hour + PTO + Comprehensive Benefits!

Our client, a distinguished law firm, is seeking energetic and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dedicated team in Dover, NH. This full-time position involves supporting trial attorneys with personal injury cases in both State and Federal Courts.

What You'll Do

As a valued member of our team, you'll:

Manage personal injury case files from start to finish.
Collaborate with claims adjusters and request, review, and organize medical records.
Prepare medical evidence for trial and schedule permanent impairment evaluations.
Ensure compliance with Court Rules and discovery deadlines.
Prepare general legal correspondence, motions, and objections.
Assist in discovery and document management.
Serve and file legal papers in courts (experience with electronic filing is a bonus).
Maintain effective communication with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel.
Organize and prepare case files for court hearings.

Your Skills & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

1-3 years of law firm experience (required).
Strong secretarial skills and the ability to multitask under pressure.
A detail-oriented mindset with top-notch proofreading abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Adobe, and NetDocuments (scanning and managing electronic files is a plus).

Experience in personal injury cases and tasks such as contacting claims adjusters, organizing medical records, and familiarity with State and Federal Court systems are essential.
