We strive to do the best DOT road building and bridges, dams, reservoirs, locks, big diameter utilities, landfills, mass excavation, wastewater, and on-demand emergency services are all part of our extensive and varied project scope for major civil infrastructure projects. 

Position Overview:

To join our expanding team, We are looking for a senior level superintendent with experience in water infrastructure projects. Our ideal applicant will be a cooperative team player who is driven, has a solid work ethic, and wants to be a member of a seasoned construction crew.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In order to fulfill schedule and contracted scope, this role will continuously collaborate with field superintendents and project managers to identify initial and ongoing labor staffing needs. 
  • Plan for and locate qualified and available internal labor (current employees), choose the best time for transfers, and let HR know. 
  • Plan for and identify continuing external (new hire) labor requirements, then work with HR to resource and fill positions in accordance with project timelines. 
  • Serve as the first point of contact in the field for determining means and methods, and organize or ask the engineering team and other resources for help in defining the equipment, means, and methods that will be used on the project. 
  • To guarantee appropriate coordination and equipment delivery to locations, work together with the General Superintendent, Equipment, Means and Methods, or other Equipment Division managers. 
  • Completely responsible for the duties given to the site superintendent
  • Plan for and execute weekly field meetings to update field staff on current projects, bids, staffing, and equipment moves

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or 15 years minimum proven experience.
  • At least fifteen years of progressively responsible experience in civil construction, including estimating, project management, equipment, scheduling, cost control and personnel administration.
  • Heavy civil project experience. (Dam, treatment plants, large diameter wet utilities, reservoirs, or channels) 
  • Ability to read and understand technical and statistical data, interpret construction drawings, architectural drawings and specifications, and legal documents.
  • Prior experience effectively leading construction operations.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Advanced knowledge of the heavy civil construction industry.
